Lesson#19-Retro Polaroid Coloring on your Photo

And so in this tutorial we will look at how to make our photos look old-style photo Polaroid.

Proceed.

Step 1.
Open our image in Photoshop and duplicate the Background layer, set the blending mode Soft Light.

Step 2.
We go to Layer> New Fill Layer> Solid Color and choose a dark blue color. I used # 070142. The blending mode set Exclusion


Step 3.
We go to Layer> New Adjustment Layer> Levels, and move the black slider to the right a little bit, that would give the color intensity.

Maybe you already like the result. Then you can stop or continue to follow the lesson and get a surprising result.

Step 4.
Again we go Layer> New Fill Layer> Solid Color and choose a light orange color. The author uses the # de9b82, the blend mode of this layer Soft Light, Opacity to 75%.

Step 5.
Again Layer> New Fill Layer> Solid Color, choose a light pink color # fed1eb, layer blending mode Soft Light, Opacity to 50%.

Step 6.
Again Layer> New Fill Layer> Solid Color, choose a dark blue color to # 070044, layer blending mode Exclusion, opacity 100%.
