STEP 1
Let's start by creating a new document. In my case it is 1100x600px, 300dpi, RGB (8bit). You can use any of the other dimensions, but please note that you will need to reconfigure the layer styles in the future.
STEP 2
Create some slides, as in the example below, I think they would be very useful, but yet you decide. Create a new layer and using the Pen Tool (P) draw a blue (# 34526d) shape, it's easy. After that duplicate the layer, flip the shape vertically (Edit> Transform> Flip Vertical) and place it in the bottom of the image.
STEP 3
Create a new layer and place it under the layer you created earlier with the blue form. Choose a color that you like (I settled on # 534741) and fill them with the entire layer. Go over to the Layer Style (double click on the layer) and set these parameters here:
Note: in order to create and establish a new pattern, open the fabric texture in a new document, go to Edit> Define Pattern, then it will be in the list of patterns in block Pattern Overlay.
STEP 4
Now create a duplicate of both forms, go to the panel Hue / Saturation (Image> Adjustments> Hue / Saturation or press Ctrl + U) and lower the Lightness to -100, which will make the form completely black. Apply filter Blur> Gaussian Blur with a feather 5-8 px (depending on how better to look at you.) Place two layers below the "native", creating a simulation of shadows. Then right-click on the layer you created in step 3, choose Copy Layer Style and add style to the original layers forms. (Right click on the layer> Paste Layer Style).
STEP 5
In the next step, we re-create the original copies of the two layers with the forms and assign a color copies (optional) with the help of the same Hue / Saturation. I chose the orange color, but you can use any other here. Then move the top layer diagonally, a little down-right, and bottom - up and to the right. Make a selection of blue shapes (Ctrl + click on the layer), and by then a layer of the orange form, delete the selected part by pressing Delete. Do the same with the second form. The essence of the idea - to create a border effect. After all of this, add effects Layer Styles, as shown below. Do not forget to change the angle of a Drop Shadows: if you have, for example, for the top corner of the form is 120 gr., Up to the bottom of it will be -120 g. respectively.
Note: between the border and the left edge of the image we have formed a small gap. That it was not, just cut the picture from the left side.
STEP 6
Now we will create the holes for the laces (unfortunately, I do not know how they are called). Create a new layer (you can all previous layers combined into one group by selecting all and pressing Ctrl + G) and using the Ellipse Tool (U) create a perfect circle (when it is created not forget to hold Shift). Fill value drop to 0% and apply these style settings:
Note: in the settings Stroke I used the color # e1e1e1. Duplicate holes anywhere, and position them where you see fit.
STEP 7
Go back to the original layer with the blue form and by clicking on the Add layer Mask icon at the bottom of the Layers palette, add a mask. Now hold down the Ctrl key and click the first layer with a hole, and then use the key combination Ctrl + Shift, add extra holes, so that you get a whole selection. We now turn to the mask and paint the selection with black.
STEP 8
Now, for greater realism, we'll add you to the stitches. You can download this set with tassels "Stitches Brushes". Once you download and install the brush - Create a new layer and using the Pen Tool (P), create a guide outlines. Does not necessarily make them on both sides of the shoe, you just create them on one side, and after duplicate and reflect vertically. This will save you a lot of time. Then activate the tool Brush Tool, locate the brush and adjust its size (Window> Brush Panel). Select again the Pen Tool (P), right-click on the circuit open menu and select Stroke Path, and remove the check mark Simulate Pressure. To stitches looked better apply these style settings:
STEP 9
Next step: the laces. Create a new layer, select DEFAULT round brush with hard edges, size - 40 px. Select the Pen Tool (P) and draw a line, using as a reference point centers of the upper and lower openings. Note that the lower hole I moved slightly to the left. Then right click on the line, Stroke Path, check Simulate Pressure off. Duplicate the layer as many times as you need. Then configure the Layer Styles, and then add the same style to the other layers with laces. (Copy Layer Style layer> Paste Layer Style). Use pattern is called Burlap (burlap).
STEP 10
The most difficult part of the lesson. It is necessary to make sure that the laces seemed ... laced. To do this, add a mask and a solid round brush, smaller at 6-10 px. begin to mask the unwanted parts of the strap. Focus on the bottom image. If you have a tablet - no problems at all will occur. Do the same with the other laces, or duplicate the processed first, and those cords that we have created in the ninth step - remove.
To be continued...:)
