Create a Magma Mountain

The lesson will tell you how you can make a pretty waterfall, consisting of lava. We will make it natural and realistic reading this, you 'll understand - how.

Part 1. Image.

You can find the image of a waterfall somewhere , or use the following photo .

To begin with - to improve the color of your image .

Press Ctrl-J to copy the image, then go to Filter> Blur> Gaussian Blur and select a small value ( 0.5 pixels ), and set the blending mode of Overlay. Now the picture looks more emphatic !

Part 2 . Adding the moon on the sky .

Save this image , or use any other .

Paste it into your document , set the blending mode to Screen, and move it to the top of the mountain. Resized if necessary.

Part 3 . Eraser , setting up a soft brush , erase the bottom edge of the moon, to bring those effects «Behind» (« the back ").

Part 4 . Change the color of the Moon: go to Image> Adjustments> Hue / Saturation (Ctrl + U) and use the following settings :

Our moon is bluish and would rather blend in with the sky.

Part 5 . We make the normal waterfall - " ghastly "

Look for an image with fiery colors, for example here is :

Paste it into your document top layer and set the blending mode to Overlay, it will add color photographs grief .

Part 6. Add a mask to this layer (Layer> Layer Mask> Reveal All). Press D to select black as the main color . Soft brush to fill the sky to hide the effect of this layer on it to make it brighter .

Part 7. The last step is the conversion of water into the lava . I found the image in which the sky with clouds looks like lava .

Highlight a small part of the picture and paste it into your document . Apply Transformation Tool Edit> Transform> Rotate, 90 degrees .

Set the blending mode to Overlay.

Part 8. Add a layer mask as in step 6 , and fill the black sky and the mountain. Now we have a great result !

I added a bit of "black birds ", to give greater emphasis.
